The 2005 ARLT/CA Refresher Day has come and gone, and one participant tells me "York went really well .... Peter Jones was hilarious. There was a very good feel to the day."
The Director, Wilf O'Neill, told me about the horrendous travel problems Peter Jones had encountered. In fact Peter wrote a letter to The Times about the matter. But Dr Jones got there, and Wilf wrote "Yes, all went very well in the end. Once Peter Jones had arrived I was able to relax!"
On a practical note, some of the Option Group leaders are providing notes on their topics to go on the web. So far there is a handy guide to reading Latin aloud (Read it Right) by Wilf O'Neill, and a list and discussion of resources for teaching Pro Milone, an OCR set text for 2006 and 2007 at AS and A2. Use this link.
More notes are expected.
