I have put three sets of photos on this blog today (or, since it's just
after midnight, yesterday). The set called Summer School includes the
group photo, which I have uploaded as a large file, twice the size of
all the rest, so that if you wish to download and print it to keep, the
quality will be quite good. Other photos in this section are a fairly
random selection of those I took during the week. I'd be very glad to
receive photos from other Summer School members to add to these.
The other two sets are Birdoswald and Vindolanda, two Roman sites which we visited during our day at Hadrian's Wall.
I am sorry that the blog software sorts the photos within each set in
an apparently random sequence. I hope you will be able to make sense of
the pictures. Add a comment if you would like explanation or further
information, and I'll see if I can help.
The people at Birdoswald were keen to let us know that they can
accommodate school parties, and they claim to feed them excellently. I
didn't take one of their leaflets, but I'm sure that if you enter
'Birdoswald' in Google you will get all the gen.
More from the Summer School to come as I get round to it!
